Functional principle of the IKS metal bellows couplings:

IKS metal bellows couplings connect shafts absolutely torsionally stiff. They compensate for angular misalignment in the lateral, angular and axial directions. In the circumference direction, they act as a rigid element, which allows them to transmit torques absolutely torsionally rigid.

The bearing loads caused by the misalignment of the shafts are minimized by the use of metal bellows couplings. This increases the service life of the storage.
